Ceiling Tile Progress

This my ceiling tile in progress. The tiger is almost completed, I just have to finish the mouth and add some details. Then I have to paint my background, which will be grey, and paint my name in metallic gold. I love the way my project is turning out so far, but there are still improvements I need to make.

Texture Acrylic Painting

This is my texture acrylic painting project. it is made of toilet paper and glue on canvas, covered with gesso to seal and the painted with acrylic paint. I got my inspiration for the peacock from a pin on pinterest . What I love about my project is the way all the colors fit together. Overall I did not think this project was super challenging, rather just very time consuming and took a lot of patience. I'm happy with the way my project turned out.

Acrylic Color Chart

This is my acrylic color chart. Its a display of all the original acrylic paints and the mixtures of two of the colors. It also she the tints of every color made. I think this chart will really help make with all my future projects that use acrylic paint and it will help guide me. This project only took me about a week to complete and I think its looks really cool.

Water Color Paintings

The piece on the left is my abstract painting, I used the wash water color technique to create it. I found it a but challenging because I had to use white water color in the piece. The paint just took on its own shape in the water and that's how some of the cool effects appeared. I like this piece and the results of it.

The piece on the right is my still life painting in a book page. I really likes this project and would like to another one. I'm really wanting spring to come early this year and that's what inspired me to do flowers. I used a wash water technique and I'm really happy with how this project turned out.
This piece is my landscape. The painting is of a Japanese Cherry Blossom tree in a mountain landscape. The challenge of this piece was getting the tree to look as realistic as I could. I think my project could have turned out better, but I'm not completely disappointed in it.

This piece is my tutorial. The painting is in an African setting and shows elephants and an native tree. My biggest challenge in this piece was trying to get all the colors in the sky to blend well. I am happy about how this piece turned out in the end though. If I could change something, I would add more detail to the ground.

Tiger Color Wheel

My solution was to create a color wheel into a tiger. I chose this because tigers are my favorite wild animal and I thought it would be perfect to interpret a color wheel into. I felt challenged creating this, I had a hard time creating some of the colors, my biggest challenge was the yellow green. My work did turn out the way I envisioned it and I love it. I could make it better though by doing a few more coats of white paint and I could of made the tiger more realistic looking.

Ceramic 1

My favorite project was my ancient vase because of how incredible and accurate it turned out to be. I used skills and techniques that I had used on previous projects before, such as slabs, coils, and slipping and scoring. I glazed it with stroke and coat paint and glazes that explode different colors. I love my ancient vase project and feel that it was a great success.

My cake project is what made me grow and improve my test skills as an artist. The techniques I used for my cake project included slabs and slipping and scoring. The slipping and scoring and getting my cake to stay in its correct shape is what really helped me improve my skills. I didn't know of these skills and techniques before this project, but I did end up getting the results I wanted.

This project has not yet been glazed fired since it was my final. This project was definitely my biggest challenge, making a functional teapot into the shape of a pig. My solution to making this a success was to just take my time to make it right and not rush it. It was a challenge getting the shape of the teapot just right. If I could do it over again, what I would do differently would include adding more details to the teapot. I loved it when I saw it completed and it was a success.

This free form shows my favorite colors, it's not very personal but I feel the way the colors lay in the project and swirl reflects my work as an artist and I love it. The artwork is just a very simple piece and it let me express myself
